Post Reply foxandhound : The end. (7/14/2010 9:24:23 AM)

Post Reply flashgordon : (Flight 815...SOS.) - I prsonally believe they aren't dead or ready to move on yet. I came to this conclusion after Christian walked through the doors into the light but everyone else hunkered down in the seats inside the church (where time does not exist) waiting for the rest to come along. But.......this was a story about jack and his dealing and transition into the gathering place of dear friends.. (6/13/2010 11:05:32 PM)

Post Reply Moroni Rose : Goodbye Losthatch. Thank you for hosting this site over the years. (6/2/2010 1:11:56 PM)

Post Reply StillLost : Everyone is so concentrated on the details(time travel, hieroglyphics, etc.). All of that was very fun to try and figure out as the show was going on. Some things are resolved, some are not. We have to remember this was a serial TV show. It had to entertain, as well as make us think. Every week, every season was left with cliffhangers and questions. That kept us coming back, pausing our Tv, searching for clues. Most of those clues helped us figure out what was going on within the series, not some overall big philosophical meaning of the show. Did anyone really expect every little question answered? Most of those questions weren't important. Yes, Dharma was there and the Egyptians and yada yada yada. What all that tells us is that the island was a real place, mystical as it is. All of that was also to entertain us also and to keep us wondering and puzzling and looking forward to the next show. What the central themes of this show - good vs. evil (in the universe and within ourselves (5/28/2010 6:31:47 PM)

Post Reply joearea : One small point I would like to add: of the chosen six, only Hugo had gained any ability on the island: To be able to talk to dead people indicating that he would replace Jacob. I did not catch this until the finale, I should have figured this out, but I was thrown off by two other people that were not part of the six: Miles ability to know what people were thinking as they died and Desmonds ability to see bits and pieces of the future. Both were important in helping the six on the island except Miles had his ability before he came to the island, (this may or may not be because he was Dr. Changs son) however on the island Desmonds ability ultimately failed him as he was wrong about what would happen when he "embraced the light" but in the alterverse he was the catalyst for people to realize that the alterverse was only a kind of purgatory before they would move on. Post Reply Steeveeg : (LostHatch) - Thank you for putting together a great show with a great cast. My wife and I had tears throughout the final show. To me, the episode left me with a greater understanding of the storyline and how we all try to make peace with our lives. If we only had one more moment to share with those we have lost, we too could forgive and ask for forgiveness. Thank you! (5/28/2010 7:48:13 AM)

Post Reply Moroni Rose : It took me a couple of days to understand the ending. At first I was thinking that they all died on flight 815, but clearly they did not. Jack died after reinserting the stone to make the light reappear. Not sure why he did not turn in to smoke monster, but that is when he died. They all died at different times, but they met up in the sideways world which was like an in between world between death and afterlife. It is fairly disappointing that none of the details of the show were addressed, but overall, I am satisfied with the meaningfulness of the finale. (5/28/2010 7:44:03 AM)

Post Reply sd the ghost : does anyone think that they didn't die from the initial plane crash but they died when the hydrogen bomb blew up? (5/27/2010 3:19:12 PM)

Post Reply panamaniac : (The Doctor) - respectfully, it is one thing do be vague and lazy in attempting to answer a question, but it is pathetic to tell me that I should think for myself, when you cannot even come close to attempting to answering my question. Lost has been a show all along about the minutia and details; so don't give me more general lazy filler for answers, as you knock me for asking a question which you clearly don't know the answer to. The hieroglyphics are not for show, they are correctly depicted and are translated on Lostpedia. That much effort was put into the correct translations of ALL these hieroglyphics all over and no explanation whatsoever. Remember we are talking about the same show where you need to pause it if they show a book or record as these are always illuminating clues hinging on details and minutia ie: Geronimo Jackson album, lost hatch blacklight doormap, any public sign that could construed as an anagram clue, etc. It wasn't just some hieroglyphics...it was the statue a (5/26/2010 4:36:26 PM)

Post Reply The Doctor : Okay, everything season 1 -6 wwas real, the only life in which they were dead was the alternate reality, that was purgatory. If you want to use that term. Tyhe island was a special place in which they were brought like lots of other people including Egyptians, sometimes you have to think for yourself instead of have Jacob turn up and say "yeah well the eguyptians put heiroglyphs everywhere and built a statue" use ur imaginations people (5/26/2010 3:23:51 PM)

Post Reply Lost fanatic : My sister and I at first were upset at the ending cause we thought everyone died on the initial plane crash....we thought we just wasted the last 6 years of our lives! We then got to thinking about it and came to this conclusion that The Island was a very important part of their lives and they all did not die at the plane crash but possibly years apart they just needed each other to get to the next place that is why they met at the church...i.e heaven or your belief. Does anyone know the significance of Jack's son??? I know they said you don't have a son...is that because he died on the island and the others were still alive in the alternate reality?? WHAT A GREAT SHOW!! (5/26/2010 11:30:20 AM)

Post Reply panamaniac : hi all...like many of you, i have some serious questions left after seeing the finale. If anyone can shed some light on my questions, I will be eager to learn and read your comments. 1st, what is up with all the hieroglyphics and huge "egyptian" statue? and its relation to Jacob? Who built the statue? If Jacob turns his brother into Smoky after throwing him into the light, why does the same not happen to Jack? Did we just get screwed on season 3? All that Walt stuff was for nothing? How can it be said that the group was so special that their bond was so strong because of their time together on the island that they had a special place to meet and wait for each other and then turn around and infer that the plane crashed(even after contradicting themselves by showing Jack looking up at the plane successfully passing overhead) and noone survived. Stay with me here..If Ben can get off and on the island and also travel in time(remember he told Locke about time travel before movin the island (5/26/2010 9:25:32 AM)

Post Reply lalalala : In an LA times article the picture of the original crash was shown just as a transition to the evening news. Jack's eye had shut and the LOST had been put there. So why does everyone think that it's part of the show. I personally thought it was just to remind us of where we started and where we've been. (5/26/2010 3:31:32 AM)

Post Reply disco : I didn't like that Jack died, I think it would have been cool if he had to choose between going in the church or going back to the beginning and trying again. The show could have ended with him waking up in the bamboo forest and 815 crashing again. (5/25/2010 2:13:06 PM)

Post Reply Moroni Rose : Shortly after my rant, I began to understand the ending. The footage of the plane was what threw me off. I am now utterly depressed that the whole thing is over. I've become very reflective about my own life. (5/25/2010 11:19:39 AM)

Post Reply Flight 815...SOS. : Okay...so every few minutes I was crying. That episode I think was probably the biggest tear-jerker. Whether it was when everybody was remebering each other (Ex. Claire and Charlie, Sawyer and Juliet), Jack dying and Vincent laying by his side or just seeing the credits and knowing it was the last episode. At first I was highly upset about the ending..I mean come on! They were all dead?! Then after thinking about it I became very happy with the ending. I still have something bugging me though. Where the hell was everybody else?! I mean you see a good amount of people, but what about Richard, Frank, Miles, etc. Were they just not ready to accept that they were dead like Ana Lucia? (Desmond told Hugo she was not ready). Could somebody help me out with this question. Other then that I am very happy with LOST and will be looking forward to buying the rest of the seasons. Goodbye LOST..I will miss you dearly. (5/25/2010 10:15:29 AM)

Post Reply The Doctor : I love the way that most of the comments on all lost sites that are slating the finale speak of not understanding it. Some people need an education, the finale was good it brought everything for the characters full circle which at the end of the day was what the show was about (5/24/2010 11:03:20 PM)

Post Reply But...but : The Island is an important character. Walt was special. Vincent was also a character. The Others are the enemy. DHARMA is on The Island. Push The Button. Electromagnetism, Time Shifting. "Oh...that stuff? Yeah, well...look over here. They eventually died and met up later in limbo. Cool, huh?". NO! NO! NO! NONONONO!. Don't string me along 6 years baiting me with this hand and then say 'lookey lookey here' (5/24/2010 3:01:36 PM)

Post Reply Or... : (Moroni Rose) - The wreckage was also cleary devoid of any dead. It may simply have been a symbolic reminder of where we came from and how far we've come since then. (5/24/2010 2:30:25 PM)
